Magic the Gathering™ Flavor Texts
err--my brother's really - let's say into magic cards right now. i'm amused by the flavor text that's written on the cards...and the picture, because, quite frankly, i don't know anything about how to play the game...so anyway here are some really cool flavor texts... its either that or i'm amused by it or find it interesting, the way it makes you think in a specific way,,,
"The bear is never cautious - which is why it wasn't born a human"-Mirri of the Weatherlight
"Each time the saw blade bit, the tree spac it out""The gorilla beat its chest and threw great handfuls of leaves into the air. It howled challenge and showed its teeth. The mechanical soldier, not understanding, simply killed it.""Some knights will not follow orders - only disorder""Twas in the bogs of Cannelbrae My mate did meet an early grave; 'Twas nothing left for us to save In the pear-filled bogs of Cannelbrae.""First blood isn't as important as last blood"-Gerrard of the Weatherlight
"Awake and awing in the blink of an eye""Condor's flight augurs sleepless night"-Skyshroud proverb
"So like men are they: a heardened shell with a fragile flesh beneath."-Selenia, dark angel
"Barrin's pride in his apprentice was diminished somewhat when he had to get the the others back down""It is not my place to question Radiant's rule. I exist to enforce her will""I stand ready to die for our world. Who will stand with me?"-Radiant, archangel
"Perception is more pleasing than truth""What we do not use up, we use again."-Urza
"Familiarity, the first myth of reality: What you know best, you observe the least""Devotion, the second myth of reality: The faithful are most hurt by the objects of their faith.""Fellowship, the fourth myth of reality: As the tides of war shift, so do loyalties.""What is a tree? Slow hard thought. What is a flower? Swift soft flesh. What is a druid? Both.""There is no equity of power. there is only more or less""This cat has two lives and it's hunting ofr more""The owl asks, but never answers""There are some qualities, some incorporate things, That have a double life, which thus is made A type of twin entity which springs From matter and light, enviced in solid and shade."-Edgar Allan Poe, "Silence"
"Don't try to outrun one of Dominaria's grizzlies; it'll catch you, knock you down and eat you. Of course, you could run up a tree. In that case, you'll get a nice view before it knocks the tree and eats you."" 'Do you know, I always thought Unicorns were fabulous monsters, too? I never saw one alive before!' 'Well, now that we have seen each other,' said the Unicorn, 'if you'll believe in me, I'll believe in you.' "-Lewis Carroll
that's it. bow. there are novels about the cards too... some of the lines used are quoted from it. you might want to read it, just check out the net for added info... I already started reading the first chapter from the net and yeah... just check it out. the ART is so cool too!

PROUD to be THIRD!
lapulapula lapulapula huh! r-e-d t-e-a-m let's go *clap* let's go!
haneph phare! haha...
intramurals. yep. obviously i played for volleyball... well, i kinda knew that the tournaments will be hard since my team will play against the best. being a grade seven student is really exhausting that i am even shocked that i have time to draw my heart out and watch tv that is not related to SCHOOL!
anyway, aside from that.... YEAH. what am i talking about again? oh yeah, sorry. irritating brother is irritating me. we played against the
yellow team. which was cool. the team didn't feel nervous. well, for me its because i play vbol with ish everyweek, that's why i didnt feel nervous at all. actually, this was the game we had the most fun with--even though we won the fight with green. every mistake:
laugh. every in:
cheer. Sab's mom was coaching us WHICH WAS REALLY COOL! we had a third set, since we won the first and lost the second... yeah. WE WERE TEN POINTS AHEAD OF THEM! they caught up. yeah. we lost. we laughed!! we didnt cry! haha..! Congratulations and comments were exchanged. thank you to
mikee, czari, ines, janni, angelica, and everyone who cheered for us! wabshoo pare!! idol ko kayo! haha! thank you for inspiring us! aii naka!!
elrica was in the sidelines...not exactly cheering, but yeah. watching once in a while. i think. :)) yeah. more like glances in the game and the score. sometimes, as she does, staring into the blankness of space. yup. thank you still.
versus
blue. need i say more?
we won against
green the only tournament we won...
special thanks to pauline layco since she coached our team or trained us before our game...thank you!! nyuuuh! i told you a while ago, we didn't react to what happened...when the game was over we were like... "tapos na?" or "gusto ko ng 3rd set!!" i was one of those who wanted a third set....i wanna fight with the team! they're good, they're just nervous...
MY FAVORITE GAMES!
GS basketball: green vs. yellow. championship gametis was reeeaally fun. i dont know why... i just had fun with it. Danica and Dana was ssoooooooooooo good! yeah. i was cheering the green team, even though i was sitting in the yellow side.... kla and i were shouting at each other to determine who was better.. yellow won.. :(( but then, it was one hell of a game anyway..!!
HS basketball: freshmen vs. seniors. last gamethe best! I wasn't cheering. just watching and clapping - for certain reasons.. yeah. it was such a good game!! especially the first quarter! such a good start for the freshmen. I think it was Patricia Henson who scored two to three three-point shots... and then Jana did. i think. i can't belive i'm so forgetful. the others were sooooo great to! i just can't remember their names >.< if i do, i would post it here. but i don't... haha!! the second qtr was sort of all about defense, even though the seniors scored then... hey come on! the freshmen were great!!
next year, it would be our turn to fight the freshmen who would then be sophomores... humanda na! laboh..! haha!! stig ang freshies!
last but not least, of course
GS Volleyball: red vs yellow. first gameso much fun! even though we lost, we had more fun playing with them than we did when we won!!
to my team: thanks for such a memorable intrams!! keep up your good work in sports and get better!!
kampi sa: [nothing much.just to let you know i guess...]
Sa-E-Na-I-O-Ra-Sa, SENIORS!
Fresh what? FRESHMEN!
you guys were great!!
laPULApula, laPULApula huh!

So Long...
it's been so long sincei i've actually posted something sensible in my blog--it's such a hectic week, and next week, i'd have to deal with the
actual puppet show and the PFT--which doesn't matter, but I don't like my body cramping up because of volleyball and PFT rolled into one week. and I haven't the slightest idea what the hell to do with our dance. The Class Critique and the
real puppet show will be up too. oh, and that doen't count assignments and essays and sir lui's sub-assignments...hn.
what has happened this week? i really am not sure what. let's see...oh yes! i've been busy getting my hands (not to mention, my blouse) dirty with paint, and several bills for events and such payed. the chat pictures were taken, in which i think that i looked so stupid in. expeciallly the formal. i can't imagine myself, and not to mention the candid pictures. i wasn't able to do the punkish candid, because it didnt actually work for me in pictures... panyang's candid pose: kneeling while holding her science book, and anime manga and
pretend to be reading it. I wasnt able to hang with hannah, danica, maxara, rai, eunika and jaiun this week because anina is so caught up in her dancing with regina--which, i might say, didn't go so far. they're making to big of a deal out of this dance thingy... and that includes fighting for it, crying for it, and backstabbing for it...i don't believe that any of them didn't backstab in their lives...that will be an obvious lie, and stupid at that...i don't know, and i certainly do not mean offense but it was so small a thing to cry or fight about... wasted.
oh and by the way, my "singing partner" marinel! well, we just sing For Real [the theme from
Gensomaden Saiyuki] everytime we meet. I like genso. i like anime. but i am
not addicted to it, certain shows i like are Gensomaden Saiyuki, Naruto, Samurai X, Gundam, Full Metal Panic and of the kind, including Ranma! :)) not addicted to it, i just like it more than i like cartoons, which gives me the difficulty in drawing cartoons..(i can't draw cartoons, but i can draw anime)
Maxara borrowed a book from the library.. it was kind of dim and it was a play about some sorcerer who turned away from his faith...it was cool, i found the book intruiging... i kinda read some passages in it.
Incandescence to shine, to illuminate, to spread light! it's our legacy title!! i think it beautiful..! :D we chose from : Freeway, Upbeat...Reach High (i think), and Destination High: Unity Behind Division... :D i kinda not agree with the way 'upbeat' was written, because it doenst actually make sense to me... upbeat means happy or cheerful.. cheerful, reach high?? hee..
hn : back to normal mode...

My very own KITCHIE NADAL called me..!
...forgive me..cause i'll start the post with a really...just read it...
i HATE you IAN... -.-
i was NOT offended about what you said yesterday--just to make things clear--because i am NOT GUILTY...
"my weakness is i care too much..."
i hate emails used to bash me. it wasnt exactly an email, but i consider it to be. i'm sorry if my blog doesnt reach your "standards" it's not actually like i care about what you think. i look at life differently. i look at things waaay differently than what people like you call 'normal'. better not try me... -_-; anyway, the days are going downwards, and by now, you might have sensed that i am not in a good mood. i've told you...if you
are one of the people who'll actually care to
read what i write here, you might have, by know what i'm like... gr. i am not happy right now.
in an hopless atempt in making this post a little 'happier'. i absolutely LOVE arianna's call yesterday. slightly more...er... nevermind. she's my personal kitchie nadal, if you're wondering what the title's all about. that's it! she can imitate her voice, what's more's that it over the phone so it really seems like kitchie's the one really singing. anyway, i'm really not a kitchie fan so...
julia was so late yesterday. no, we didnt meet--do we ever? she really was just REALLY late. anyways, watched Harry Potter 3. i'm sorry. its not actually significant, but it was the movie i watched besides Beauty and the Beast and Cinderella... i'm under my younger sister's shadow... ironic isnt it?? i hate it. of course i have to follow everything she says which is a nightmare. you'll watch Disney Movies 24/7 and cope up with her "yeli" and "iony" one good thing though, once she's all over her disney madness... the down side is that she's all over blues clues and dora... -.- i am starting to think that i like disney more than dora... it's just that dora moves so slowly... kinda boring for me... -.-duh. it's not like i should be watching it anyway...!

A moment that's mine to remember...
roar.
the hectic week is over and another one is about to start...ms dolly was telling us about mediocre work and grades yesterday--and that's not actually a really good place to start a day. sometimes, it makes me feel that we're the worst batch ever taught by our grade seven teachers... no, i'm not paranoid, but during the first weeks of school, sir ruel was talking to us about how are batch is "in danger" of not graduating this school year. well, if so, some might make it, like kara and the others. i guess that they got so used to their grades that they dont care anymore, my grades arent bad, they just expect more from us, like our parents to, nothing below 90...haaaay!
my shoulders are freaking PAINFUL [until now]! i hate it! i cant do anything without feeling like my joints are going to get dislocated..! -.- freaking egg [by the way, i am not blaming the egg for my failure...]because we didnt bring an egg, we had to do twenty push-ups--during which, the basketball club were looking at us like we were crazy..-- and everytime that our services didnt make it, we had to do five push-ups. good thing by services made it.. hm, we had a game after ball-handling excercises. we won the first set, but we lost the second and we didnt have time for the third.. i didnt know what i did that made my shoulder ache more that sab, who did more push-ups that i did--oh no, wait, i remember, mimi and i carried the score board which was NOT light and mimi pulled me up to my feet...
literally. damn mimi, you're strong!
yesterday...erm, we had the charter change symposium. it was very hot in the multi.. -.- i'm so stressed up. anyhow, i didnt take up notes, but i listened well. i listened to the first speaker and half of the second speaker's "speech", i lost my way and found myself staring instead of listening, but the main point of what he said came into my mind...-_- doesnt it always find its way..? i listened to the third speaker well since my mind was snapped back to reality when the second speaker said his point [note: i like the second speaker's speach, and i dont have anything against him, its just that i lost track of what he was saying...].
COMMERCIAL: Klarisse and Sam wouldn't stop teasing me...
anyway. back to the program. Trisha and I were together yesterday..doing nothing, since hannah and the others left us. we met up twice, but they didnt seem to notice us. Jaiun did and we played with her guitar all the while.. :D we also looked at the dances of the grade six. mala seventies :)) cute.
I love my quarterly exam grades, except for the Filipino subject... all the others are line of nine, which is good. i'm loosing my grip and i think i'll also have a line of eight in CLE. first of all i explained my drawing, so that's minus five, and second, i started with "i will tell her..." minus four, and finally I DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE VOCABULARY WORDS. minus five. damn it.
last tuesday...the assumption holiday. i wore dengue attire, and undoubtfully, almost everyone i met told me i looked like a guy... -.- i know. watched ambon, ulan, baha...duh. that was so wasted on me. i payed attention yeah, but it didnt exactly stick into my mind. i hope the teachers wont ask a research paper on it. Sir Ruel hated it so much, as he said in the morning talk. he was right though, the title didnt do hasn't anything to do with the story...
i wanna watch ELEKTRA... :))
